Bavaro, Dominican Republic is
a wonderful tourist area located within Punta Cana on the
easternmost province of the Dominican Republic. Bavaro was
designed as a town for resort workers who worked within the
popular tourist and resort area of Punta Cana. As hotels started
to build up within Punta Cana, Bavaro soon became the center of
services within the area.
Bavaro contains an area of small villages and multiple beaches. Some of these beaches include Macao Beach, Roco Ki Beach, La Vacama Beach, and Uvero Alto Beach. In total, Bavaro has an incredible total of 10 kilometers of sea shore!

El Cortecito, known as being a smaller fisherman village, is just beyond the 3 Melia Hotels. The oldest building in the area is Pirata, which has 3 well known bars. These bars include Soles, Umi, and Bamboo bar. Cortecito also has many restaurants including Captain Cook (one of the most famous ones). For those looking for souvenirs to take back home, Cortecito has plenty of gift shops!
